National Granola Bar Day!

Granola bars have been around for years and are a go-to snack for so many households, including ours. Bars range from healthy to really unhealthy, can be a good source of nutrition and energy and are super convenient. To celebrate the day, I decided to make some granola bars myself.

I had cereal, peanut butter, agave nectar, two types of granola, some greek yogurt and a bar mold.

The one thing I was missing was a recipe.

I decided to wing it. My husband likes granola bars with chocolate and peanut butter and I like ones that are more fruity, so I made two kinds. I’ll call them Greek Yogurt Berry Granola and Chocolate Peanut Butter.

The Greek Yogurt Berry Granola was easy due to the consistency of the ingredients. The Chocolate Peanut Butter was a little more challenging so I got hubby involved.

All in all, making these took less than 10 minutes and the ingredients made it smelled so good in the house. It was so fun to do and the best part was, I knew what ingredients were going into my bars. Below are the recipes I created. Enjoy!

Mix Ingredients thoroughly. Add mixture to bar mold. Refrigerate
