Over the years, I’ve created a few systems that work and I want to share them with you. Not only have they given me routines to keep me in check, but also given me my time back! To me, systems are everything! And I’m not the only one that thinks so.

Businesses, both big and small, use systems. From major corporations to individuals, like you and me, systems are what make the world more simplified, structured, and give us the life that we’re dreaming of. While the systems that are created range in size and complexity, they all have one thing in common. Repetition.

The actions related to the systems that are work are repeated over and over again until they become part of the footprint of a person or business.

I’m going to share with you a few systems that I created. These stem from things I did repeatedly, every day. Over time, I noticed patterns that became these systems. While they have been changed and tweaked over the years, the initial actions are the same and continue to work. Trust me when I say, it is a process to create systems that work. These are not big actions that I’ve taken, but small steps to help me be more efficient and productive.

Having a Morning Routine

When I first learned about having a morning routine, I thought I had to wake up before the sun did and have energy from the minute my feet hit the floor. Thankfully, that’s not the case for many of us. My morning routine looks like this:

On my vanity, I have a candle jar that I DIY’d into a container for my “Morning Must Dos”. It has all the tools I use in the morning to get myself going. My nasal spray, my essential oils, my CBD oil, and even a bit of make up. I created this one-stop-shop so I didn’t have to dig through my drawers to find everything. Having this system puts everything in one place and saves me time when I get ready in the morning.

Keys, wallet, cell phone?

Every time we leave the house, I ask my husband three questions:

  • Keys?
  • Wallet?
  • Cell phone?

Why? Because if I don’t, something will get left behind. This is a system that not only helps him, but helps me from experience avoidable anxiety.

Stay Hydrated

I have such a hard time drinking during the day because with my ADHD, I get distracted. So one of my systems is to make sure I have a water bottle with me at all times. But this can’t be just any bottle. It must have a straw. Without one, I’m less likely to drink throughout the day. The other thing that helps me drink water is Liquid IV. It’s a double hydrator that also adds flavor to your water. From super sweet cotton candy flavor to sugar-free peach (a personal favorite), there are flavors for everyone. So if you have trouble drinking plain water like me, order some using my affiliate code and save $5 on your purchase.

Wanna Workout?

Before I go to bed, the last thing I do before I climb under the covers is set out my clothes for the next day. If I’m moving my body in the morning, it’s workout clothes. Because if I’m being honest, I need to think about working out before I work out. I need to get myself motivated first thing in the morning, otherwise, it’s probably not happening. Just seeing the clothes the next morning makes me want to get in them and move.

Nighttime Routine

Once I’m in bed and nice and cozy, I look at my nightstand. Some people pile things on their nightstand, just to never look at them again. But I use it strategically. Only the important things I need to get a good night’s sleep are on it. I have my Soul CBD Sleepi Gummies, my inhaler, the current book I’m reading, and during the fall and winter, cough drops. I take my gummies, a puff on my inhaler, and start reading. Only to doze off to dreamland about 30 minutes later.

Out of all the systems I have in place, these five have helped me the most. They each have added efficiency and normalcy to my life. Now tell me about the systems you use!
